Methanol
Reformer gas boilers for methanol plants.
Methanol is made by reforming natural gas and converting the synthesis gas. The hot synthesis gas has to be cooled precisely, and the boiler that does it raises the plant's high and low pressure steam.
Where the heat is
What the boiler has to do
- Hold gas-tight integrity at pressure
- Avoid crevice corrosion at the tube-to-tubesheet joints
- Deliver the outlet temperature the downstream section needs
- Fire-tube single or twin boiler designs to cover the range of plant sizes

What we supply
- Reformer gas waste heat boilers for methanol plants
- Single or twin fire-tube designs with gas-tight construction
- Gap-free welding and convective banks for the flue gas
Our Industrial Products
Reformer Gas Boiler
The synthesis gas boiler.
Thermal Systems provides Waste Heat Recovery Boilers to cool Hot Synthesis gas in Methanol plant
Fire Tube single or twin boiler design
Gas-tight construction for optimum performance
GAPFREE WELDING to avoid CREVICE CORROSION
CONVECTIVE BANK to cool the flue gases
Thermal Systems provides Waste Heat Boiler on downstream of Hot synthesis gas in Methanol Plant in Fertilizer industry
Process Gas Waste Heat Recovery Boilers
For Methanol Plant
In methanol plants, hot synthesis gas leaving the reformer is cooled in a process-gas waste heat boiler, generating HP/LP steam.
Thermal Systems provides single or twin boiler designs combined with a common steam drum and superheater as per licensor and plant requirements, in gas-tight construction with gap-free welding.
