ZINC ROASTER

Waste Heat Recovery Solutions for Zinc Roasting Plants

Waste Heat in Zinc Industry

Zinc manufacturing process mainly involves conversion of zinc sulphide to zinc oxide in a Roasting Furnace.

The roasting gas at the furnace exit has a temperature of about 950 to 1000 Deg C which is cooled in a  waste heat boiler.

In roasting process , sulphur is expelled as SO2 gas and subsequently recovered as sulphuric acid in Sulphuric acid plant.

TSPL is pioneer in supply of Roaster Boilers | Boilers & ancillary equipment in Sulphuric Acid Plant.

WASTE HEAT RECOVERY BOILERS

For Zinc Roasters

Zinc concentrate is roasted at about 950–1,000 °C, producing high-dust off-gas that is cooled in a roaster waste heat recovery boiler ahead of the sulphuric acid plant.

Thermal Systems' boilers feature 3 Pass Uptake–Downtake–Convection design, water-cooled horizontal ducts and online hammering/rapping systems proven on high-dust service.
