PIG IRON

Waste Heat & By-product Gas Solutions for Pig Iron Plants

Waste Heat Recovery & By-product Gas Solutions for Pig Iron plants.

Pig iron (hot metal) is produced in blast furnaces, generating surplus blast-furnace gas (BFG). Thermal Systems provides BFG-fired boilers to combust this surplus gas for steam and power generation, along with AFBC-based captive power packages for pig-iron and ferro-alloy complexes.

Thermal Systems' solutions are designed to recover and utilize available waste heat and by-product gases efficiently, helping improve overall plant energy utilization and reduce energy losses.

BLAST FURNACE

Thermal System's boilers are designed to recover heat from the hot gases generated during sponge iron production and use it to generate steam. This can help to increase energy efficiency in the sponge iron production process and reduce energy costs and emissions.

CAPTIVE POWER PLANT

Thermal Systems provides AFBC-based captive power packages for pig-iron and ferro-alloy complexes. These systems are designed to utilize available solid fuels and process by-products for reliable steam and power generation, supporting the plant’s internal energy requirements and improving overall energy efficiency.
