recovery across the refinery, from the reformer to the sulphur block.
A refinery runs on steam. Every unit that makes hot gas, from hydrogen generation to catalytic cracking to sulphur recovery, is a place to make that steam instead of buying it.

Introduction
A refinery separates crude into fractions, converts the heavy ends into lighter products, treats out sulphur and nitrogen, and blends. Several of those steps produce gas streams hot enough to raise high-pressure steam: reformed gas in the hydrogen unit, regenerator flue gas in the FCC unit, the reaction furnace of the sulphur recovery unit, and the decomposition furnace of a spent acid regeneration unit are all significant heat sources. Petrochemical complexes attached to refineries add their own streams: cracked gas quench, waste-water incineration and process off-gas. We supply the equipment that sits on each of these streams and engineer it to the licensor's process basis.

Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU)
Claus reaction furnace at 950 to 1,300 °C, quenched in a waste heat boiler; condensers, reactors and tail gas incinerator complete the package.

Spent Acid Regeneration Unit (SARU)

Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU)
Regenerator flue gas at 650 to 760 °C carries catalyst fines. A flue gas cooler recovers it as steam without plugging.

Hydrogen Generation Unit (HGU)
