What it is
A tail gas treating unit takes the gas leaving the Claus reactors and recovers the last of its sulphur before the incinerator. Its front end is a combustion chamber, where tail gas is heated or partially combusted to the reaction conditions the licensor specifies, and a waste heat boiler that cools the gas and raises steam. We supply the two together, engineered to the licensor's basis, in the same modular construction as our MCC and incinerator packages.
- Fire Tube design with(out) Hot / Cold Bypass
- Design consideration for high gas side operating pressure
- Single piece / extended ferrules
- Special consideration for Metal dusting issues
- GAPFREE WELDING to avoid CREVICE CORROSION

How we build it
- Combustion chamber with refractory lining and burner interface
- Waste heat boiler, fire-tube or water-tube, with protected tube inlets
- Steam drum and circulation to the unit's steam conditions
- Materials and tube temperatures chosen for sulphur-bearing gas
- Modular construction for site assembly; built under ASME U and S stamps
